Vodka?

Kelly was my alarm clock this morning as her cold/coughing has gained a hold of her. She headed out to the deck at 5:30 and I managed to get back to sleep for a while.

Simone was up early as well and was off on a bike ride up past Waikoloa Village.

Shower  & Coffee on the lanai as we enjoyed the view and the cool 23ºc a.m. temperature. The property staff were out cutting grass so the noise was a bit annoying.

Simone arrived back early after her 49 km ride so we decided to walk over to the local shopping area. A quick look at the various shops and then some additional grocery purchases.  A stop at the Island Hopper Brewery for a refreshment and then back to the villa. We will come back Thursday and take in some live music... hopefully.

Lunch was a quick prawn croissant then Kelly and I headed off to get some additional grandchild items at Queen's market.  We drove up to Waikoloa Village and retraced Simone's bike ride.

Goats on a rock! Yes.... here is proof!

Goats!!

Once back at the villa, we enjoyed a couple games of crib with myself the winner of the first game (skunking Hugh I might add) and then Hugh actually won the second game after a very tight, three way finish.

Off for a swim at the local beach. Sheila grabbed this great photo....

Sea Urchin

Dinner tonight was rack of lamb, roast lemon potatoes & Greek salad, We bbq'ed them at the "BBQ Shack".

We came back to the Villa and our neighbor Roz invited us into thier villa for a look see... turns out they had a huge bottle of Vodka that they do not drink... would you like to take it?... oh sure we will put that to good use.

They tasted as good as they looked!
The BBQ "shack" consists of several tables with individual BBQ's, tables etc that you can pre-book. The other section is more community oriented and is available on a first come first serve basis. All the folks we have met there have been very nice.  Several comments were directed at us as we had four racks cooking.... did we need help?...that's a lot of lamb, you feeding an army? etc.  :-)

We ended the evening with great conversation... some planning for tomorrow.
